So, if you are looking to get into the books, and you don’t know your Bourne Imperative from your Bourne Initiative, this post should help you out.īelow is a run-through of all the Jason Bourne books, beginning with the initial trilogy from Robert Ludlum. In this post I am taking a look at the Jason Bourne book series, to highlight all of the stories that have been published so far. A decision was made to continue Bourne’s story in a new collection of novels, with new writers picking up from where Ludlum left off. In 2001, Ludlum passed away, but continued interest in his novels, as well as the success of the Bourne movies series, ensured that this wasn’t the end of the road for Jason Bourne. And due to the success of the book, Ludlum followed it up with two additional stories, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. The novel was a spy thriller, and because of its interesting story and unique angle it proved popular with readers. The book followed the story of Jason Bourne – an incredibly skilled amnesiac, who becomes the unwitting target of the CIA. In 1980, American author Robert Ludlum published the novel, The Bourne Identity.

If you aren’t familiar with This Golden State, here’s a quick synopsis: I am a HUGE fan of murder mysteries and thrillers, plus I typically enjoy YA books (usually read fantasy). I immediately went to GoodReads and Amazon, after reading the summary of the book, I was intrigued to say the least. I had never heard of this author, or the book, so I was a little skeptical Before confirming my spot, I decided to research the title a bit – it’s VERY important to me to provide honest and reliable reviews, so I wanted to make sure this was going to be something I’d enjoy before moving forward. I’m going at you today with a very special post! Last month, I was asked by Flatiron Books if I wanted to participate in an upcoming Blog Tour supporting one of their new releases (This Golden State by Maris Weisenberg). Skip the tl dr foreword and read anything that catches your eye. I encourage you - even if you're not really a poetry person, if you're not really a reader, check this out. This is mainly for self-reference, but I really do hope that someone will get something out of this. I also typed up the Foreword, tricky formatting and all, and included my favourite parts from his poems. I have spent roughly six hours or so (chemistry assessment task be damned!) digging up his poems from various corners of the web, in order to have them in one organized post. Because of this, there is a smooth flow from poem to poem, and the more you read, the more you'll love him. There is such a strong feeling of interconnectedness between his poems, so many repeated images and themes (the chlorinated pool, swallowing glass, a film called the Planet of Love, golden light, a man named Henry). I finally got a hold of Richard Siken's Crush, almost one whole year after I discovered him.
